Clomid (substance: Clomiphene Citrate) is a drug that was first created to improve fertility in women with polycystic ovary syndrome and other causes of female infertility. Now it is widely used by athletes as an estrogen blocker during post cycle therapy:

Clomid increases the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone from the hypothalamus. This, in turn, increases the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicular-stimulating hormone (FSH) by the anterior pituitary gland, helping to recover faster.
